Over the weekend, we learned the sad news that cancer has come back in our friend and colleague, Charles Krauthammer, and that according to his doctors, the prognosis is not good, and that he has weeks to live.
We were fortunate when the collection of his life’s work, Things That Matter, came out back in 2013 that Dr. K. spent many hours over the course of several interviews with Hugh. Just as a side note, whenever I called to get the interview going, there would be lots of brief sidebar conversations about whether Bryce Harper of his beloved Nationals was better than Mike Trout of my beloved Angels. What we both agreed on was that the rivalry of these two was great for the game, and that we wanted that to be a long and healthy rivalry.
As you reflect on the intellect, wit, and insight of Charles Krauthammer, here’s a great way to begin.
