Where Is The Keisler Nomination?

Thursday, September 28, 2006  |  posted by Hugh Hewitt

ConfirmThem reports that the Senate Judiciary Committee meets this morning, and that there may be time to get more nominations voted to the floor for confirmation votes, including Peter Keisler’s to the D.C. Circuit.  If nominations are left in committee or without floor votes, the Majority Leader’s campaign for the presidency will have suffered an enormous blow as GOP primary voters care deeply about such matters.  John McCain’s candidacy has already been badly injured because of the Gang of 14 (which is also responsible for this collapse int he nominations process), and it will be astonishing if another would-be president allows judicial nominations to sink his campaign as well.
