A travel weekend, and a weekend to agonize over the Cleveland Indians, so I’ll point you to the transcript of the the Newshour conversation from Thursday which has jammed my mailbox with messages I can’t get to, and to my e-mail exchanges with Public Eye editor Dick Meyer.

The Tribe can’t lose six of their last seven, right?

I think that their is no more cursed sports fans over the past forty years than a Cleveland fan. The Drive. The Shot. The Fumble. Jose Mesa. Mediocrity punctuated by awful loss. The Boston fan, the Chicago fan, they have had their bright shining moments, but not the Cleveland fan. Not since 1964.
