Today’s show will be a remarkable melange of guests and topics.
Hour two will feature Louis Zamperini, the World War II hero and 1936 Olympian whose story is told in the amazing new book by Laura Hillenbrand, Unbroken.
I will also be playing a portion of an in-depth interview with former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty which is available in full at the Center for America website. In this conversation Pawlenty talks about how governors have to lead the fights to revive the state economies and through them the national economy.
Oh, and Mark Steyn and Jim Geraghty and Lileks too. (Lileks, btw, is announcing to the world that he will be appearing on Dennis Miller’s show today. Then he will be on Potted Plant Radio later in the day.)
Lileks has launched “Welcome to Hell,” a blog on the ’70s. You will enjoy it.
Update: By popular demand, the audio of my conversation with Louis Zamperini and John Naber is here.
