Tim Tebow is hardly the first or the most famous Christian to play in the NFL, but he is taking considerably more flak for his beliefs than previous QBs like Kurt Warner or contemporaries like Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford who are also believers.
The latest installment in the anti-Tebow campaign is in today’s New York Times, no friend to the traditionally faithful, and the piece is predictably full of snide asides.
No matter. Tebow has always had the confidence that comes from being a MK and a superb athlete, and there are millions of people cheering for him even though he is a Bronco (and that’s saying a lot for this Browns’ fan.) Whether he continues to rise on the field or if his career will be short, he will always be a man you’d be proud to know and have played alongside.
