Thinking Rome
Yesterday’s pre-conclave update for my show was provided by Ignatius press founder and president Father Joseph Fessio, S.J. There’s a very good chance that whomever emerges from the Conclave as the new pope will already be an author for Ignatius Press. The list is here. One example is Chance or Purpose? Creation, Evolution and a Rational Faith by Christopher Cardinal Schoenborn. There are many others. Just hepling out the MSMers who, having written their perfectly irrelevant articles on married priests, might want to do some serious research on the papabile.
The New York Times’ Ross Douthat has a typically thoughtful essay this morning on the legacy of Benedict XVI. Read it, as well as the transcripts of my interviews with Archbishop Chaput and George Weigel, and you will have a good preliminary grasp on the towering figure of Benedict XVI.
