The Washington Post’s Conor P. Williams
Earlier this year the Washington Post sponsored the “America’s Next Great Pundit” competition. The writer who emerged at the end of it with a weekly WaPo column is Conor P. Williams. Like Chris Cillizza he is young and energetic, and a fine writer to boot. Today he joined me on the program and –surprisingly for a pundit of the left– answered almost all of the questions without hesitation.
The transcript of our conversation is here. Some listeners thought Williams is predictably liberal, but this is the Post after all, and it just recently added the amazing Jennifer Rubin to its ranks, so it is hard to be disappoitned that the Post is credentialing yet another liberal writer. I am just grateful to find a lefty who will answer the questions without the endless hemming and hawing, and especially glad that we don’t have another poser who won’t register to vote for fear that his or her objectivity will be compromised. I hope he will agree to come back often, and you can follow him on Twitter @conorpwilliams.
