The Stations Of The Cross
Those of us who spent grades 1 through 12 in Catholic schools know the Stations of the Cross very well, and can probably even summon up some of the text from the small red books that were the guide for the prayers and responses. (I can’t find the name of the guide online, but if a reader recalls, please send it along to me at email@example.com.)
Mark Roberts is a Presbyterian pastor and theologian, and he is beginning a series on the Stations of the Cross which will make for the very interesting reading he always produces when applying the protestant perspective to Catholic traditions.
UPDATE: Many readers write to tell me that the red book was The Way of the Cross by Saint Alphonsus Liguori.
