The Speech That Broke The Patience of the Country?

My new column assesses the president’s speech Thursday night.

Guy Benson delivers his verdict here.

And the AP fact-checks the president’s outlandish claim to have paid for his new proposed waterfall of spending.

The Washington Post fact-checks as well and you can almost hear Glenn Kessler laughing as he wrote that “[t]he speech mostly gave us a sense of dj vu. From the president’s language, you would never know that Congress already has acted under his watch to save jobs – the $800 billion stimulus plan passed shortly after he took office.”

Why would any think a second stimulus, only half as large as the first one, would do more than deliver half the results of the first, which would be 50% of zero?
