The Chinese communists are having trouble controlling those pesky internets! From a very interesting read in this morning’s Washington Post:

The episode illustrated the profound impact of the Internet on political discourse in China, and the challenge that the Web poses to the Communist Party’s ability to control news and shape public opinion, key elements to its hold on power.

The Party ought to require every member read An Army of Davids. (Who’s got the rights in the PRC Glenn?)

You can’t control what you don’t understand, and once the Party elites understand that the net can’t be controlled, perhaps they come up with some plan that doesn’t have an inevitably unsuccessful suppression at its core.
