The Obama Doctrines
The president’s latest declaration on Afghanistan is a good one, and if the allies and the Afghan people believe that the president will indeed keep America committed through 2012, at least there is a chance that a new president will provide General Petraeus or his successor with the resources to continue the battle to secure the country from jihadists.
The general incoherence of the Obama foreign policy, however, is unnerving allies and emboldening foes across the globe. Powerline’s Scott Johnson looks to the roots of Obama’s various doctrines.
