The NYT’s Bill Keller, Unplugged

Saturday, July 8, 2006  |  posted by Hugh Hewitt

Radioblogger has the transcript of the Charlie Rose-Bill Keller interview from Thursday night posted.

Rathergate has a commentary up, as does Doug Ross.  More will follow as Keller’s answers are simply unpersuasive when not outright incoherent.

We don’t have the audio from yesterday’s show analyzing the Rose-Keller interview, but will post it here when possible, as well as the exchange with Fred Barnes and Morton Kondracke on the various Keller defenses.  The Keller argument that anger at the paper’s conduct is fueled by the Adminstration embarrassment at not being able to prevent leaks left Barnes –and I am sure millions of other serious observers of the controversy– speechless.

I invite your comments on the various Keller dodges below.  You can be assured that they will be read closely by the Times team as it struggles to find a story that will turn the tide of public revulsion aimed at the paper and its damage to the national security.
