The Kanagaroo Congress of 2010, Part 2
The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza notes that “Congress’ approval rating is starting to approach historic lows in two new national polls,” and that was before the Pelosi Democrats began their unconstitutional imitation of a banana republic’s legislature. The trend towards a historic wipeout of House Dems is unmistakable, which may be why no announcement of a firm date for a vote on Obamacare has yet been made.
The Politico’s lead story on the struggle over the bill notes three Dems in particular as the focus of enormous pressure from the president and the Speaker: Ohio’s Mary Kaptur, Pennsylvania’s Jason Altmire and New York’s Mike McMahon.
Kaptur has long declared herself “pro-life” but appears poised to shed that camouflage. Altmire and McMahon both voted “no” last year, and a “yes” vote now immediately puts them at the top of the national target list in November.
Here are the numbers for all three:
D.C.: (202) 225-4146
Toledo: (800)964-4699 or (419) 259-7500
E-mail (use zip code 43604).
Natrona Heights: 724-226-1304
D.C.: (202) 225-3371
Staten Island: (718) 351-1062
Brooklyn: (718) 630-5277
E-mail (Use zip code 10306).
There is no better way to get Altmire’s attention than with a contribution to Buchanan and a note to Altmire promising more where that came from if he votes for Obamacare this week or next.
And there’s a list of additional targets for your activism two posts below.
Please start with the “Say No To Obamacare” button in the top right hand corner of this site as it e-mails your Member of Congress and automatically is sent on to the 58 Blue Dog Democrats as well.
