Since alerting you last week to the existence of the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund and the Wounded Warrior Center at Camp Pendelton, hundreds of you have contributed thousands of dollars to the work of the Semper Fi Fund. Thank you.
Since the inception of the Fund in May, 2004it has provided over $6 million in financial assistance to wounded Marines and their families on more than 2,700 different occasions. As long as the rehabilitation of the Marines continues, the Semper Fi Fund will ocntinue to raise and distribute assistance, so please keep the Fund in mind as you allocate your charitable contributions and plan for year-end giving.
I have also heard from SoldiersAngels
that the list of soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guard in the war zone who would appreciate a home front connection has grown in the last few weeks. This is a secodn place that can use your help, so please consider establishing an e-mail, letter and care package relationship with one of the front line troops.
