The Head Of The FBI’s Counterterrorism Went To USC?
Joseph Billy Jr. seems like a very serious and qualified guy who is worried about all the right things:
Mr. Billy, a 28-year FBI veteran, recently told reporters of his concerns about weapons of mass destruction, undetected homegrown terrorists and the possibility that mobsters in this country could team up with al Qaeda terrorists for the right price.
While there is no direct evidence that mob figures in this country have made any effort to hook up with terrorists, his concerns about a possible connection continues.
Those concerns were heightened when undercover FBI agents stopped a man with suspected mob ties from selling missiles to an informant posing as a terrorist middleman.
“We are continuing to look for a nexus. We are looking at this very aggressively,” Mr. Billy said. “We have developed an ability to look harder and broader in a greatly enhanced way to see if there is any crossover.”
We are just going to have to hope that his Trojan time did not burn out his common sense, even as “Fight On” almost certainly ruined his taste for music.
