The Great Blog Migration: Models and Guides for the New Blogger

Wednesday, July 12, 2006  |  posted by Hugh Hewitt

Those who have just begun blogging at the new (700+ and rising) and those about to jump in should all read Joe Carter’s excellent series “How to Start a Blog.”

And while you are at it, peruse all of Joe’s site as an axample of a tremendously successful blog that has patiently built a loyal following over the past few years.

Joe and I will both be at GodBlogCon 2 August 3 through 5 in La Mirada, California, and we hope you can join us there.

Under 30 new or about-to-become bloggers might want to check out Rhett Smith’s site as a great guide for blogging when the next generation is your target.

Finally, Randy Elrod’s Ethos remains one of my favorite small cap blogs.

I have been rereading Joe’s “The 5/150 Principle.”  If you are on the fence about getting started, read this.  If you have just begun, read it.  If you have been blogging for years and feel that it isn’t worth the effort, read it.
