Phoenix Sky Harbor is pretty empty at 5 AM, and the bookstores aren’t open so I can’t check on the placement of The Brief Against Obama: The Rise, Fall and Epic Fail of the Hope and Change President.
Lots of satisfied readers at last night’s Smart Guys debate with Erwin Chemerinsky and John Eastman, however, and the new campaign to indoctrinate America’s youth is underway. Post your pictures at TheBriefAgainstObama.com
as part of my co-hosting competition, and your reviews at the Amazon page.
Yesterday’s conversation with Mark Steyn (transcript here) gave me a great idea on how to promote the book during today’s show which has been relentlessly apolitical through the dozen years I have done it. I will be joined by Larry O’Connor, who once played Baloo at the park long before his ascendency at Breitbart.tv. Tune in to see how this will be done, and thanks to Mark for the inspiration.
Of course I will update the confrontation over Eric Holder’s absurd claim of executive privilege and the president’s extremely unwise decision to give his sinking AG temporary cover under the thread-bare assertion of privilege, but mostly it is a fun day, and after a week of book tour, a welcome break before the non-stop travel resumes Sunday.
My favorite review thus far, from reader Patrick Sweeney at Amazon.com:
Hugh Hewitt, in 25 chapters, 45 pages of footnotes, and hundreds of facts, has not merely written a book for everyone who desires that Barack Obama’s presidency ends in January 2013. He has given you a tool. Every claim made by a Obama advocate is rebutted with precision here. Every fact that can persuade a persuadable voter in your family or circle of friends is here. He has done the homework, and you, by reading this book can take the credit. Read the book and use it to form a 30 second elevator pitch to create your own brief against Obama. After you read the book, follow Hugh on radio and the web and stay up to date.
