Not that 10,000.  The 10,000 who, by the start of today’s program, will have taken the pledge. In one day.  I think the Republican supporters of the Warner resolution have fundamentally misjudged the opinion of the Republican party.  Now the question is whether they will care about that opinion, or, much more crucially, the opinion of General Petraeus.

The effort to inform the Senate GOP of the opinions of its activist base has been underway less than 24 hours.  I will discuss it on today’s program with the NRSC Chair Senator John Ensign and with Senator John Thune., and perhaps others.  Both are rock-ribbed conservatives and pro-victory senators.
