Romney Up 16 in AZ, Up 2 In MI

The NBC/Marist polling shows swings towards Romney in both of next week’s primary states.

Part of the swing towards Romney over the past four days has been Rick Santorum’s handling by the MSM —read Carol Platt Liebau’s piece to see some of the fallout from this— part of it the impact of Romney’s superior resources, but not a small part of it is in reaction to the left’s attempt to enter the GOP race and bleed Romney. This effort, openly conducted by the Kos Kids is the clearest signal to GOP voters of the candidate whom the Chicago gang and their allies fear most in a head-to-head match-up with the president. I brought up the Kos Kiddies on Sean Hannity’s Great American Panel Friday night, and CNN’s Joe Johns was reporting on the same from Detroit yesterday, and more stories will follow.

Like the massive expenditures by big labor against Romney in Florida, the hostility of the far left is a currency to be banked on the center-right. The left has become so radioactive and is so venom-filled that even only somewhat-interested voters get a huge takeaway from learning that the hyper-partisans who drove the country into the ditch are most concerned about Romney driving the tow truck to the scene. The expenditures by big labor against Romney in Florida had the effect of helping Romney, but that was a closed primary. It remains to be seen from the exit polling if the left can push Santorum over the top in the Wolverine State.
