As of yesterday afternoon, had raised more than $90,000 from more than 1,600 donors in three days, all of which will go to fund GOP challengers to vulnerable Democratic Congressmen who voted for Obamacare in the 220 to 215 vote on November 7. Spend ten minutes and $25 (or more) this weekend saving American medicine by contributing to the fund. Democrats who see support for Obamacare becoming the largest issue in 2010 are much likelier to think again as the bill moves forward. Details here.

See you at the rallies.

There’s a thread at The Hughniverse on the fund and the rallies.

Seniors especially should contribute and join. Older Americans have begun to turn against Democrats, as Jay Cost shows in this piece. But they need to speak up and open their wallets because of the AARP’s misinformation campaign.

Here, btw, is one offering from a ticked off Colorado voter, and this satire could easily be adapted to all the Democratic senators who are simply refusing to respond to their constituents and are rushing through this destructive bill. If Colorado’s other senator, Michael Bennet, or Arkansas’ Blanche Lincoln, or many others votes “yes” tonight, it will be difficult to see how they can win re-election next year.

Dear Citizen I Could Care Less About,

Thank you for your recent message to my U.S. Senate office. Each week, over 10,000 Coloradans send me their thoughts and suggestions. I do not read any of them, so I send out this autoreply email. This unprecedented volume is a testament to the fact that Coloradans are incredibly pissed off at Congress. I do not care as I am the fourth generation politician in my family. Boy, am I connected, and rich to boot. It is good to be me. I will continue to buy my senate seat until I die and then one of my children will inherit it.

Coloradans have contacted my office about the economic recovery bill where we stole $800 billion of your money to create jobs in nonexistent districts, the Cap & Tax scam, small businesses which are failing because of our policies, and numerous other important topics. I appreciate hearing from each one of you because understanding your views is fundamental to my job. Please know that my staff reads each one of your letters and e-mails and keeps me consistently updated on Coloradans’ concerns. Then they throw them in the garbage, and I vote for special interests so they can fund my next campaign. I, in turn, put earmarks in the budget so they are repaid for their campaign contributions with tax payer money. It’s a great scam. And you actually think we will vote to audit the Fed. What are you thinking?

I am honored to serve as your U.S. Senator. The benefits are incredible. For example, while we put you into trillions of dollars of debt for a government-run healthcare plan, we’re going to have our own special plan. We will not come out and say this to you. We will use the word “choice” instead. Unfortunately, you will not get the same “choice” as we do. You see, we’re special. We’re above you. There’s no way I am going to take the public option. My good friend, the Honorable Representative Jared Polis, tells his constituents he plans on taking it. He forgets to mention he is filthy rich because his mommy made a bunch of money selling greeting cards. So he’ll be able to pay out of pocket at a private clinic for all his health care needs. Can you imagine him waiting in line at Denver General? Oh, I would chuckle heartily to see that.

My top priority in the Senate is to provide efficient and effective service to people across our state. Please know that my Colorado staff is available to handle specific services relating to the federal government (such as help with a passport if you’re too stupid to figure out you need to go to the post office, claim for veterans’ benefits after we ignore you in Afghanistan, or a citizenship matter like granting you amnesty). My Denver office can be reached at 303-650-7820. If you would like to check on a request for services from my Washington, D.C. office, please call 202-224-5941 or toll-free at 877-7-MUDALL (877-768-3255). Otherwise, be assured that we are ignoring your comments.

I will continue to not listen closely to what you and other Coloradans have to say about matters before Congress, the concerns of our communities, and the issues facing Colorado and the nation. My job is not about merely supporting special interests and the annoited one; it is also about creating a divide that has paralyzed our nation’s politics. For more information about my positions and to learn how my office can assist you, please visit my website at

Warm Regards,

Mark Udall
United States Senator, Colorado
