As with the Burma cyclone, the earthquake in China has caused suffering on a scale that can only be dimly glimpsed. I know of no western aid organization operating in Burma, but Caring for China’s Children is an extraordinary organization operating orphanages, health clinics and schools in many areas of China remote from the coast.
You can donate to CFCC here. The entire country will be struggling to cope with the after-effects of this killer quake, and support for CFCC will help assure that somne of the most vulnerable in the PRC are cared for in the months ahead.
