The President Regrets…
UPDATE: So NBC’s Chuck Todd quoted my 10/28 interview with Clarence Page to the president today. I suspect that is as close to an on-the-record interview a conservative journalist will have with the president this year or next, or through 2016 in fact.
The non-apology by the president to NBC’s Chuck Todd is the worst of the president’s many PR blunders, all of which are combining to make a genuine policy catastrophe into a political whirlpool of epic proportion.
Ron Fornier’s piece on the “regret” stagecraft is just a small taste of what real people feel, like the caller from San Diego who is out-of-pocket costs are going up $10,000 in 2014 and who won’t be buying a new car for his family of six, even though the vehicle with the fewest miles in his houseold has 150K+ miles. The Manhattan-Beltway media elite is largely insulated from this disaster, and the Obama faithful are running around with fire buckets trying to silence the screams, but reality is breaking through. Even MSMers from big corporations with low deductibles must be hearing from extended family that woe has befallen their budgets and their health care options.
Imagine what will dominate the talk around the Thanksgiving table this year. It isn’t going to be praise of the president’s courage.
The president’s minimization of the disaster -its just 5% of the market he calimed– when everybody knows the small business market is the next mark is another enormous deception. They keep piling up. They are so huge as to be impossible to ignore. Even his blocking line in the White House press corps is breaking under the strain of the truth.
Again, keep in mind that Hillary is Obamacare’s grandmother. When does she try and put distance between herself and her own handiwork once removed?
