John Cusack:

I grew up watching `SCTV’ and `Animal House’ [which Ramis wrote]. Those were as big landmark awakenings for me as Monty Python and Mel Brooks or any other new form of comedy or how to see the world.

On turning 40 next year: “What I like about this age is that I’m a lot less stupid, but I can still run really fast. I don’t know how long this will last. I’m probably right on the cusp. It’s a good age because you can kind of do everything you used to be able to do, but you don’t make as many mistakes. You’re a little wiser.”

“So maybe I’m smug, and maybe the Democrats are petty. Maybe you’re right. But you’re ordering people to their deaths. How are those two things comparable?”
