My new Townhall.com column talks about how the GOP has feared the start of every presidential debate since the close of Reagan’s first one in 1984, and how that is about to change as the president’s rhetorical wheels come off.

Off to Phoenix to appear at a fundraiser for “America’s Sheriff” Paul Babeu.

The show from KKNT will feature Mitt Romney —Michael Barone talks about the luck that finds the prepared— Rick Santorum and Coach Brad McCoy, who along with his son Colt, has authored a very good book on being a dad, Growing Up Colt. That is in hour three of today’s show.

Growing Up Colt: A Father, a Son, a Life in Football

Sure, I am a Browns’ fan and have been from birth, and as a season ticket holder since their return from exile, I am eager for the younger McCoy to succeed on the field.

But the book is about so much more, and the conversation with Brad McCoy will tip you to why I think this book ought to be under the tree for every young man and especially every young dad out there who loves sports and competition but who should also be developing a life of service and value.
