Roger Kimball waves farewell. The Times’ book editors may not know it, but by refusing to serve the reader of conservative books, they contributed to the ongoing collapse of their paper. See below.

I don’t have any hope that the New York Times will ever recognize the value of serving all its potential readers including those on the center-right, but there is a chance Sam Zell’s focus on the bottom line will oblige the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune to work towards regaining center-right readers. Imagine the enthusiasm with which a book section or religion section not produced by elite lefties would be met.
