” Just 22% say they can trust the government in Washington almost always or most of the time, among the lowest measures in half a century.”
Trust and confidence in government has plummeted.
This cannot surprise anyone when the government jams Obamacare down the throats of a public that opposes it, spends trillions it doesn’t have on pork we don’t need, and readies a enormous cap-and-tax bill that has almost no public support beyond the environmental lobby and the folks who just want another source of tax revenue.
The public is not easily fooled twice. Voters thought turning the government over to President Obama would produce a “new politics,” a “post-partisan” era of compromise and consensus.
Instead we have gotten a hyper-partisan, hard-left lurch staffed by ideologues with almost no experience in the private sector.
