A first for the program today –an in-studio appearance by an “song-of-the-week” winner Janu and the Whalesharks, a wonderful young band full of great voices, energy and charisma.

They will be performing Sunday night in Pomona, California at the Glass House. Doors open at 7 and the show starts at 9. $14 at the door. Go and be among those who can “I heard ’em play when…”

Off tomorrow in another attempt to repair the vocal chords. Geraghty the Indispensable is in tomorrow as a result, with my –and the audience’s– thanks. Rasping at the listener gets old all around. Geraghty has lined up the next senator from Connecticut, Rob Simmons, who is challenging Chris Dodd, the senator from IndyMac, AIG, and Freddie and Fannie. I expect Congressman Simmons will be a frequent guest on the show throughout the next 18 months.
