Terry was on today’s program and I hope to have him back Monday to analyze the Browns’ NFL draft and the Cavs’ series against the Pistons. What Terry really represents is how American newspapers can survive –find a regional strength and hire the best reporters/writers to cover it. In northeast Ohio that means sports, and Terry draws readers from across the country to the PD’s site every day and especially during big weeks like this one which has the draft and the Cavs in the playoffs. If the Los Angeles Times invested as much effort in the Calender section/entertainment business as the PD does in the sports pages, the web traffic would be soaring. You can’t be all things to all people, so be the best at the most important thing to your city.
