Sometime in early June I will host a three hour broadcast featuring a debate between Christopher Hitchens, whose most recent book is god Is Not Great, and Dr. Mark Roberts, whose new offering is Can The Gospels Be Trusted?
Dr. Roberts is a serious theologian, prolific author, scholar and pastor, with both his undergraduate and PhD degrees from Harvard. Hitchens is a fierce critic of faith, but also of tyrants. It will be, I think, a very fairly matched contest.
I highly recommend you read both books to be better prepared to listen to, and profit from, the debate. (And yes, if you order now, Roberts’ book will get to you before the broadcast.)
