Hillary and Bhutto

Will the exaggeration Senator Clinton used yesterday hurt her next week?  From Sweetness & Light (HT: Mark Levin):

She just can’t help herself:

I came to know Mrs. Bhutto over many years, during her tenures as Prime Minister and during her years in exile.

Sure she did…

That’s it. An official luncheon and a little “private conversation” afterwards.

But it’s not quite the stuff of “I came to know Mrs. Bhutto over many years, during her tenures as Prime Minister and during her years in exile.”…

Still, now that Ms. Bhutto is dead Hillary will have no one to contradict her self-serving fantasies.

I wrote yesterday that the sudden arrival of seriousness in the presidential campaign would help Senator Clinton, but this sort of unnecessary plumping of her experience sends a shudder through the Dems that she might be a horrible candidate, a series of unforced major errors waiting to unfold when the going gets tough.
