Subj: SEMPER FI SOCIETY DONATION REQUEST
1. My name is SSgt Farrar and I am one of the senior members of the Semper Fidelis Society at the Citadel here in Charleston, SC. As you may or may not know, the Semper Fi Society is an NROTC student driven club that mentors and enhances the betterment of all future Second Lieutenants and currently has over 100 members. We have over 25 Active Duty Marines and the other 75 members consist of NROTC Cadets that will soon be Second Lieutenants in the United States Marine Corps.
2. Some of the key objectives of our organization are to support the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org), participate in community service projects, attain knowledgeable guest speakers, raise funds for the Marine Corps Ball which accommodates over 300 Marines and raise funding for our annual Bulldog Challenge (www.bulldogchallenge.org). The Bulldog Challenge is a 6 mile, 4-man, physical fitness event that donates all proceeds to our scholarship funds in honor of fallen warriors and or other additional charitable causes.
3. My plan for this year is to offset some of the cost for all that we do as an organization by doing fundraising. I envisioned doing an autographed book auction in a few months and would greatly appreciate any support. I am requesting that you donate 1 or 2 autographed books for this fundraising endeavor such as A Mormon in the White house? I know people give what they can, so anything would be appreciated, but if you are unable to donate, I totally understand. Thank you for your valuable time. I can be reached at 865-384-0162.
