From Israel, About Israel

My Townhall column yesterday was filed from Ashdod, where people just shrug their shoulders and go about the business of being a country with terrorist neighbors that send rockets randomly into your southern cities and RPGs across the border at civilians’ cars. Reports that tensions are rising with Egypt need to focus on where the terrorists came from –Gaza– and how they got to their ambush –across Egyptian territory– and not on anger with Egypt over Israel’s justified reprisals against the terrorists.

By the way, the highways of southern California are a whole lot more dangerous than this beautiful country even with the sirens sounding.

My new Townhall column begins with a conversation with my Israeli guide about the Egyptian army’s slipping control over the Sinai, and concludes with a suggestion for the GOP presidential candidates.

Off to Capernaum.
