I have never seen a complete episode of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” and probably haven’t seen ten minutes of a single episode. Just not my kind of television though many friends say it was a wonderful show.
But I have been to Russia a couple of times, so when I saw the trailer for “Exporting Raymond,” a documentary on the trials and travails of series creator Phil Rosenthal as he takes “Raymond” to the Russian television market, I identified with the traffic and a few other scenes and the hook was in.
I saw the film last night with the fetching Mrs. Hewitt and we laughed out loud throughout. Perhaps I was an easy mark as I have been to the headquarters of Kosovo national radio, but my wife hasn’t and she was just as amused.
It may not be your regular fair, but you will enjoy “Exporting Raymond.”
