The video is here from this “Socrates in the City” sit-down.

On returning home from the book tour plugging The Happiest Life, I was surprised to learn from FMH how many folks had told her of watching the original broadcast or web video of my hour long conversation with Brian Lamb on Q & A.

Eric tweeted this AM he is surprised by how many people have already watched the Gladwell interview.

There is an enormous but far-flung appetite for long form conversation –one which Brian lamb nurtured over many years and which Charlie Rose on television and I and a few others have worked to keep alive in radio– that will prosper on the web via talk radio podcasts and new platforms at places like the New York Times and the Washington Post.  As Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith and I discussed Thursday (transcript here) the pace of media change is accelerating, not slowing down after a big bang, and one of the byproducts of that change will be a great blossoming in the sort of conversations that people watch for enrichment and knowledge and not just entertainment.
