I was one of the proponents of the motion, in tandem with the Wall Street Journal’s Stephen Moore, and opposed by former California Governor Gray Davis and Michael Lind of the New America Foundation. As measured by the NPR program’s methodology, Stephen and I murderlized them, but if I can’t win a debate on this proposition, I ought to retire.
It is all online now, and will be broadcast soon, but the blue state lefties are –of course– stuffing the online ballot box. What. A. Surprise.
No matter. Stephen and I received nice concessions from our colleagues, though I suppose they could go Al Gore and call to retract their concession. This Friday in Cleveland I am debating famed civil rights lawyer and resident CNN lefty Avery Friedman in Cleveland.
These things are fun but really aren’t fair as they don’t attract low information folk that Democrats rely on to win elections. I think my next challenge will be take Avery’s, Michael’s or Governor Davis’ side in one of these things to see if I really do have the ability to persuade people that is up is down and the sky is green.
