Well, yes, and in an even more thoroughgoing way than the ordinary MSM outlet.
Of course CNN is liberal. Of course Olbermann’s Network is liberal. Of course the New York Times, Politico, and the Washington Post are liberal.
HH: [G]iven that number of reporters out there, is it ten to one Democrat to Republican? Twenty to one Democrat to Republican?
TE: It’s probably in the range of 15-25:1 Democrat.
This wasn’t a shocking revelation, though it was a rare bit of candor by a career MSMer.
I believe the Tea Party movement that swept through politics will now help reform the long-biased MSM simply by refusing to accept the ongoing charade of fairness on issues like spending, the debt, taxes and the like. The game is up, and millions and millions of ordinary citizens are sick to death of the deep dishonesty and/or self-deception of MSMers pretending to understand or fairly report what is going on in American politics.
This means the continued flight of viewers to Fox and to a much lesser extent because the left is so much smaller than the center-right, to MSNBC. There are a few MSM reporters left who have earned a great deal of respect for their willingness to push President Obama and his colleagues –Jake Tapper and Candy Crowley are two– but the wholesale collapse of the MSM in the campaign of 2008 and in the first two years of this disastrous presidency have destroyed the last shreds of credibility of the old guard and their apprentices.
The Chicago emperor had no clothes, and very few in the MSM dared even hint at it outside of Fox.
And everybody who watches politics either knows this or deceives themselves.
