This was the correct decision by Mitt Romney, though a risky one and one sure to be second-guessed by all the media types who think you can never say no to cameras and celebrity.
It is, however, the right thing to do, and the presidential thing to do, and I wish Newt Gingrich and the other GOP candidates thinking about attending the circus would rethink their agreement.
I spelled out my reasons in yesterday's Washington Examiner column, and no one has come up with a good reason why Donald Trump and Newsmax should get to try and impact the voting at a late date and a heavy-handed way.
This is the beginning of the selection of the next Commander-in-Chief in a time of war and incredible economic stress. The Iowa electorate and voters across the country deserve much more than a reality show-driven election.
