Veteran’s Day 2011 and the Semper Fi Fund
Today is my annual Veteran’s Day broadcast featuring wounded Marines, Navy Corpsmen and other servicemembers assisted by the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.
The show never fails to inspire anyone who hears it as the Marines and others who appear have been terribly wounded but are moving courageously forward in their recoveries, supported by their families, their friends from the units and their Corps. The audience always calls with contributions to support the work of the Semper Fi Fund, which is greatly appreciated and greatly needed.
The war is off the front pages, but it goes on in Afghanistan where members of the military are severely injured every week, and it continues at home where these veterans are working their rehabilitation programs with the same devotion and focus that they have served their country. Please contribute online or via the program today at the number provided.

For one story of a hero from a different era, read Lee Habeeb’s profile of Dick Winters over at NationalReview.com. Hopefully it moves you to support the new greatest generation.
