Ask Peter Robinson
Those of you who listen to the radio program know that Peter Robinson and Carol Plat Liebau are guest hosting for me this week (and judging by the e-mail, you may like them a little too much. I am coming back Monday no matter how entertaining they are.)
Peter and I both served in the Reagan White House, though Peter was there far longer than I. If I am not mistaken, he served the entire time John Roberts was there. My office was located between Peter’s and John’s, and though Peter was a speechwriter and John an Associate Counsel, as I recall they worked together fairly frequently, because many of the President Reagan’s speeches touched on legal topics, and John typically handled such matters.
So I am guessing that the huge document dump now underway will contain not just papers from me but also papers from Peter. I have agreed to discuss anything that interests any reporter, but they must do so on air as a way of preventing cherry-picking the documents for one-line quotes, etc. I would love to know what Peter thinks about his memos of twenty plus years ago now flowing out to the MSM and the Senate Democrats. Heh.
