Since I own some shares of Apple, I am happy to see that it continues to thrive, and that the reviews of the new iPad are terrific. Long may it prosper and grow and grow and grow in value.
Note in some of these stories that Apple keeps tens of billions of dollars parked off-shore, and as a shareholder I am glad it does since I don’t want the company to pay needless amounts of taxes to the feds. I want the company to be tax-efficient.
Proponents of attacking the “1%” should to tell soon us why Apple should be penalized for being in the 1% of companies, why it should pay more in American taxes than it does, why it makes sense to punish this most successful of American companies? If they can’t make the case for soaking Apple, they cannot make the case for soaking any other portion of the 1%.
