The Annual Semper Fi Fund Show
Monday’s program is dedicated to the Semper Fi Fund and will feature interviews with 18 Marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen wounded in the war and assisted by the Semper Fi Fund and its sister Fund benefiting the other services: America’s fund.
Since its founding by a small group of USMC spouses in 2004, the Fund has raised and spent $150 million dollars on 18,500 service members and their families. It is one of only two veteran non-profits to earn an A+ rating from Charity Watch and 4 stars from Charity Navigator, the highest ranking possible from the two most respected charity watchdog groups. The overhead costs of the fund have averaged 6% since inception, an extraordinary level of efficiency but one expected when the Board consists of two past Commandants, and extraordinary leaders from business and academia.
You can give with confidence that your dollars will benefit the recovery of the men and women who need it most. Don’t miss this annual show which never fails to both humble and inspire listener.
