A “James Taranto Is a Genius” Moment
Just read this by OpinionJournal’s James Taranto. Very compelling. One variation of the Taranto bid: Offer the Senate Minority Leader a choice: Judge Luttig at 51, or Professor Dinh at 37. Heh.
And The Chicago Sun Times’ Thomas Roeser makes an excellent point about Katrina’s impact on Rudy’s political fortune. I think the same point may apply to Mitt Romney as well, though not with the same degree of significance. Romney’s rescue of the Olympics didn’t involve life-threatening conditions, but it did involve slicing through a morass of bureaucracy. Decisiveness is getting very highly valued right now. One good result from the storm.
