The first of two debates between Governor Scott Walker and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett came off last night, and Walker came out of it as he went in, clearly ahead on points, arguments and momentum
Imagine the panic in the Chicago headquarters of President Obama’s campaign if, ten days before the November vote, Mitt Romney is as far ahead of Obama as Walker is of Barrett right now. The RCP Average understates the rolling momentum gathering behind Walker
as Wisconsin voters –including union households!– say with increasing disgust to the public sector grabbers “Get off the wagon and push.”
Now is the time , of course, to Pour. It. On. Every dollar invested in Scott Walker’s campaign now helps build the infrastructure to not only keep him in office but deliver the state to Mitt Romney in the fall.
So skip the extra twelve-pack of beer (I’m talking to you Fraters
) and put down the new garden hose you don’t really need. Invest a little of your start-of-summer funds in contributions to the Walker and Romney campaigns here. Then enjoy the start of the long days, and the beginning of the end of the Obama escapade.
