I interviewed the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza about his first column on the race for the GOP presidential nomination Friday, and the transcript is here.
I then questioned Charles Krauthammer about the “announcement” by Politico and NBC News that they would be sponsoring the first GOP presidential debate at the Reagan Library early in 2011. He agreed with me that such a schedule was nuts, and that no debates ought to be held until the early fall of 2011.
The race is underway, of course, but the serious GOP contenders shouldn’t allow the MSM to set the schedule and force useless confrontations among them, especially as the Congress enters into a series of crucial policy debates with President Obama.
I will write more about the absurd debate diktat from Politico-NBC in my Washington Examiner column tomorrow, but for those who want serious analysis of the race ahead from a center-right perspective, visit Article VI blog and its three part series ont he subject, here, here and here.
